about

Originally released in 2014 (Movements, 1-3) and 2015 (Moments, 4-7). Tracks 8-10 were recorded live at the DaDa bar in Sheffield on the 7th of February 2015 where we played a support slot for @Hausfrau.
Each piece was recorded in a single take with no overdubs, no backing tracks and no midi (synchronisation was via cv/clock).

Derek and I started doing 'live to the internet' improvisations as VCM in around 2013 using Derek's impressive arsenal of vintage gear. Our mutual friend Tim was making music in a similar (but maybe less haphazard) fashion around the same time under the Eigenfrequenz name. It was Derek's idea for the three of us all to get together and record.

It's partly down to my friendship with Derek and Tim that I started to make music again after abandoning the idea in the mid 80s. They are both directly responsible for me starting the Pulselovers project in 2013 (thank you!).
