This track originally evolved out of a live improvisation with my good friend Derek Williams one Monday night in his cavernous den of analogue synths under his Voltage Controlled Music name. These improvisations are always 'of the moment' and Derek doesn't believe in re-creating them. This particular one however, stuck in my head, and I reimagined it as a Pulselovers track with the intention of playing it live.
The live thing has not yet materialised, but the chance to collaborate with Allan Murphy of Midwich Youth Club came up, and was too good an opportunity to miss. So the track, now dubbed Phantom Cinema was resurrected as a last minute addition to the album.
