A track I wrote specifically as a song (others on the album only became songs accidentally). I was going for synthpop even though I don't particularly think I have any affinity with the genre any more. The initial results were shot down before I had even attempted to sing the original lyrics. After giving them to my partner Lou for her critical analysis, she told me in no uncertain terms that the theme was not only depressing, but virtually suicidal.
A quick shuffle, and a long rewrite later, and it almost sounds like a love song. A love song that required more passion than my limited voice could muster though, so the wonderful Craig Manga brought his Beefheartian baritone along and did the honours.
